The minister refused to comment on the issue.
大臣はその問題についてのコメントを拒んだ。

「～について」は about より on が普通です。名詞 commentary は「（スポーツなどの）実況，解説」，commentator は「解説者」です。「ノーコメント」は No comment. と言います。
