「～の理由」は × the reason of ～ ではなく the reason for ～ です。for some reason「どういうわけか」もよく使われます。

reason 自体が「理由」を表すので，because を重ねると意味が重複します。口語では耳にしますが，正式な英文や入試では that を使いましょう。
