A ＋ Ｖ ＋ as ＋ 原級 ＋ as ＋ B で「A は B と同じくらい～」を表します。1つ目の as は「同じくらい」という意味の副詞，2つ目の as は「…と比べて」という意味の接続詞です。
She can swim as fast as her brother.
彼女は兄と同じくらい速く泳げる。
2つの as の間には，形容詞・副詞の原級を置きます。もとの文で形容詞が入る位置か，副詞が入る位置かを考えましょう。Tom is tall. なら形容詞 tall，She swims fast. なら副詞 fast です。
as ～ as の間に名詞を置く場合
名詞を伴うときは，as ＋ 形容詞 ＋ 名詞 ＋ as の形になります。
I have as many books as you (do).
私はあなたと同じくらい多くの本を持っている。
He drank as much water as I did.
彼は私と同じくらい多くの水を飲んだ。
可算名詞には many，不可算名詞には much を使います。
not as ～ as
A ＋ not as ／ so ＋ 原級 ＋ as ＋ B：「A は B ほど〜ではない」
「同じくらいではない」ではなく，A ＜ B を表す

not as ～ as は「同じくらいではない」ではなく，「…ほど〜ではない」という意味です。This question is not as difficult as that one. は That question is more difficult than this one. とほぼ同じ内容になります。
倍数表現
X times ＋ as ＋ 原級 ＋ as：「…の X 倍〜」
2倍は twice，半分は half，3倍以上は three times ／ four times など

倍数表現は，the size ／ the number ／ the length などの名詞を使って表すこともできます。

three times larger than ～ のように比較級を使う形もありますが，入試の英作文では as ～ as の形が基本です。
